FAQ's
Q. Are appointments for a designer to come out available in the evenings or weekends?
A. We do offer evening appointments as we recognise that many people are not free during the day. Please provide us with your full address including postcode if we are visiting your home. And don’t forget that landmarks or further information is always useful for finding your property.
Q. Is there anything I need to do to prepare for the appointment?
A. Not really, just bring your ideas! We assume that at this point you will have decided on the style you’re looking for and, in the case of a new kitchen, which appliances you will require. If you are involved in building work, a kitchen extension for example, then please make a copy of the architect’s plans for us to see. We will arrive fully prepared to answer all your questions, explain the range of options you have available and carry out a survey of the space.
Q. How would you describe your product range and how much do you charge? What, for example, is the cost of a new kitchen?
A. Our product range covers all sizes, styles, colours, anything you want we can get! We don’t supply ‘cheap boxes’ or modules, however we do supply branded products cheaply. Our price range for a new kitchen is £3,000 to £30,000.
Q. Your rooms look amazing! But my kitchens and bedrooms don’t need updating, do you refurbish any other rooms?
A. Yes. We can also design and supply a complete range of fitted home offices and studies. Give us a call for more information or to book an appointment with a designer.
Q. Is there any general advice you can give us for choosing a new kitchen?
A. Yes- invest in a good carcass for your unit. Worktops and door panels inevitably suffer wear and tear over time but by replacing just these worn items you can keep your kitchen in pristine condition and avoid the cost of a total refit. We would also advise you to think about how long you plan to remain in your current property. If you are likely to move in the next few years we suggest you look for a popular design likely to appeal to potential buyers. This can depend on your house and location, for example in a substantial county family house, appliances such as a double oven may be a valuable asset. And don’t forget, a new kitchen can add value to your house!
Q. How long will installation take to complete?
A. Assuming that the survey does not identify any major problems with water, electricity, etc., then 4-6 weeks is the standard time-length required. We suggest you allow 4-12 weeks in your early planning and check current lead times with us when we meet for the survey.
Q. We are not in Gloucestershire. Can you carry out kitchen and bedroom makeovers further afield?
A. We also have bases in Worcestershire, Cheltenham and Solihull. We can refer you to our other branches in these areas if you give us a call.
